I stumbled upon Susie Walton’s Redirecting Children’s Behavior (RCB) class while I was searching for the solution for my boys. She taught me that my boys were experiencing classic symptoms of sibling rivalry and were falling into the roles of victim and bully. Susie gave me doable techniques that I could use immediately to stop the pattern my boys had fallen into. Things improved quickly, but I felt there was more to be learned, so I took the course a second time. Again, there were more improvements, but I still wanted to learn more and hone the skills I was learning, so I took the instructors’ course. With each time I took the course, I picked up something new and meaningful – new tools, insights, and perspectives. Each time you see a lesson, it is taught slightly differently, and that may just be the slight adjustment you need to really turn that corner with your family.
I was incredibly fortunate to be able to attend Susie’s courses more than one time, but I also understand that most parents simply don’t have the luxury of spare time to devote to taking or re-taking a live parenting course.
